e have now all settled back into the routine of Preschool enjoying lots of activities inside and out. On Friday 12th October we are holding a sponsored Toddle Waddle. The children will have the opportunity to make duck hats and then "waddle" round the obstacle course on the field.
To link in with our theme of our favourite stories we are visiting Chantry Library on Monday 12th November to look at the books, explore the library and listen to a story.
We are continuing with our letter of the week as a snack time activity on alternate Wednesday and Mondays, see the wall by the entrance door for the letters. Please encourage your child to bring in something beginning with that letter if you wish.
NOTES TO PARENTS
As winter approaches so to does the cold and wet weather. Children shall be encouraged to get some fresh air during the session so please ensure they have a coat/waterproof and Wellington boots. Our grounds are likely to be muddy for some time so spare clothes may also be advisable. We will try our hardest to keep the building dry and clean and ask that children bring (and leave if preferred) a pair of indoor shoes/slippers at the Club for their use each week.
You will have noticed the lobby area. Each child has its own dedicated peg. Above each peg is a small pigeonhole where notes/newsletters etc for yourself will be left for you to pick up.

You have the opportunity to have your child's and his/her siblings photograph taken by Tempest Photography on Friday 2 November. An appointment system will be in place. Please list your preferred time on the notice board in the Preschool lobby.

FESTIVE FEAST-THURSDAY 15 NOVEMBER AT 8.00PM

Submit your favourite Christmas recipe by 1st November to Preschool
v Prepare and bring along your submitted recipe item to be tasted
v Enjoy the evening sampling all the other submitted dishes
All the submitted recipes will be compiled into a book for purchase on the night. Recipes can be varied from sweet or savoury, desserts or nibbles – with a Christmas theme. The more submitted items the more successful the evening. If however you do not wish to submit anything you can still come along by purchasing a ticket for £5. All proceeds to the Preschool. CHRISTMAS NIGHT OUT
This will be held at The George in Hintlesham on Friday 14 December at 7.30pm. The price of £25.95 includes a 3 course meal, disco and karaoke! If you fancy a night out please contact Tina Wilson.
CHRISTMAS FAIR
Saturday 1st December is the Christmas Fair. This annual event is held in conjunction with the Village School.
If you can help on the day please speak to Ann Hurst or Lisa Butler who are co-ordinating on behalf on the Preschool. If you cannot help on the day in person then a donation of a cake for the cake stall will be much appreciated or a donation to the Raffle table.
The morning kicks off at 10.30am so please support your local Preschool and bring the children along to soak up the atmosphere and visit Father Christmas.
FRIDAY 14TH DECEMBER 11.00am
On Friday 14 December Preschool shall be going to the New Wolsey Theatre to see the production of Shoe Baby.
'Shoe Baby is a magical show, a fantastical, funny sing-along adventure with a baby who takes to the sea, the air, the zoo all in a show!
We have reserved tickets for the 11.00am performance. The cost per ticket is £6.00. Forms shall be sent out shortly enabling you to book your child a place. We also have limited places available for parents/carers, these will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Children will be dropped off at Preschool at normal time in the morning (for those children who don't attend Preschool on Fridays please arrive no later than 9.15am ) and will be walked to the Park and Ride to catch a bus into town. Children can then be picked up from Preschool at 1.30pm.

PRESCHOOL CHRISTMAS PARTY
We shall be holding our own Christmas party for the Preschool children, on Monday 17 December. The event shall include a visit from, Ali the magician followed by party food and to finish the day off a visit from Father Christmas.
Invitations shall be sent out shortly, please make a note in your diary as parents and siblings are encouraged to attend also.
A hamper raffle shall be run on the day, any donations to this will be much appreciated. A box will be placed at Preschool for your contributions.
As mentioned Father Christmas shall also visit; as in previous years please purchase a present for your child (up to the value of £5.00). There will be sacks available on the day for you to discreetly place your Childs gift in.
If you think that you can help on the day, helping to tidy away at the end or setting up tables please either speak to Alison Dawson or Tina Wilson.
